A rustic vintage Indian Head / Buffalo nickel has been securely attached to a silver plated barrel safety clasp. Indian Head nickels were minted between 1913 and 1938. They were discontinued because the design wore down easily and the mint date would disappear. You can see this wear on this coin because these are old circulated coins.
Hat pins require a small hole to be put in the hat before putting the pin in (we recommend using a scratch awl tool if you are doing it yourself!).
